Kansas Department of Revenue to move Atchison Driver’s License Office

Atchison, Kan. - On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, a new Kansas driver’s license office will be available for Atchison County residents. The Kansas Department of Revenue’s Division of Vehicles will close its current office and open at the Atchison Event Center, 710 S 9th Street.
The new location is approximately 1,500 square feet, compared to the current office in the Atchison County Courthouse, which is 200 square feet. This will allow an adequate area for waiting customers and the possibility of additional workspace to process more customers in an even more timely manner.
“Moving to the new location will help us better serve Kansas residents in Atchison and the surrounding communities,” David Harper, Director of Vehicles said. “We are thankful to the county for allowing us to use the space in the courthouse and are excited for the new location.”
