iKan is a digital web and mobile application that enables Kansans to access and pay for a variety of DMV services online, anytime — even when county treasurer or license offices are closed.

Is iKan official?
Yes. iKan is an official payment platform for the State of Kansas, operated by PayIt.

Who is PayIt?
PayIt makes it easy for residents and customers to access and pay for state and local government services online. PayIt solutions serve more than 150 million people across North America, and span agencies across property tax, courts, utilities, DMV, outdoors, and more. What kind of services does iKan offer?
Users can access a variety of DMV services online, including:

• Renew full (21+) Kansas driver’s license & ID cards (including REAL ID)
• Renew Kansas CDLs
• Renew vehicle registrations
• Request a replacement vehicle title
• Request an address change on a license, ID, or vehicle (in select counties)
• Many other state & local services

Why should I use iKan?
iKan can save users a trip to a license or county office and is available 24/7, making it easy for Kansans to interact with DMV services anytime, anywhere.

Do I have to create an account to use iKan?
An iKan account isn’t required, but creating an account lets users view in-app payment history, manage payment methods, configure notifications, and see vehicle registration documents.

What payment methods does iKan accept?
iKan accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), debit cards, and eCheck/ACH.

Will I get payment confirmation when I renew with iKan?
Yes. Payment confirmation is delivered via email for each transaction with iKan. Users can access records of in-app purchases in the ‘Payment’ section of their profile. Official documents, such as vehicle registrations, can be found in the ‘Documents’ section of the user profile.

Is iKan secure?
iKan is fully secure. iKan employs the strongest encryption techniques and security standards to protect users’ personal and payment information. iKan and its operator PayIt never shares or sells personal user data. More information about PayIt’s privacy policy can be found here.
