Microbrewery License
Microbrewery License: Allows the manufacture and storage of not less than 100 nor more than 30,000 barrels of domestic beer and 100,000 gallons of hard cider per calendar year. May contract to manufacture beer or hard cider for another microbrewery. Allows the sale of beer manufactured by the licensee in the original unopened container to be consumed off the licensed premise. May provide free samples on the licensed premise and at special events monitored and regulated by the ABC. May also sell up to 1,000 barrels of beer and 3,000 gallons of hard cider it has manufactured to retailers, CMB retailers, public venues, clubs, drinking establishments, caterers and temporary permit holders.
Microbrewery Packaging and Warehousing Facility: Allows existing microbrewery licensees to move products from their brewery to a separate facility for packaging and/or storage and delivery to a licensed beer distributor.
A licensed microbrewery may also apply for a microbrewery packaging and warehousing facility license, drinking establishment or caterer's licenses.

Microbreweries are also required to register each label of beer manufactured prior to sale. There is no charge for a microbrewery to register their labels.
Application Prerequisites
- New applicants are required to obtain a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) prior to submitting your application for liquor licensure if they do not already possess their FEIN. For more information, go to: http://www.irs.gov/
- You must register for business taxes. Choose either the online option or paper form below.
- All applicants must have a valid Tax Clearance Certificate from the Kansas Department of Revenue for the entity. Apply for a Tax Clearance Certificate using your entity's FEIN.
Apply/Renew Online
To use the online system you must pay using an electronic check or credit/debit card. Please note that the payment processing vendor charges a service charge for electronic payments, $1.50 for an electronic check or 2.5 percent of the total for credit/debit card use.
